2 My Mother !!!!

This is for all the mother's of the world.... U hold in you the power of ur children's future.

My mommy is not only my manager but my best friend!!! I may be 1000 miles away but I tell you it is her that helps me deal with facing a cold world alone. I had a dream since I was a little girl and my mom is still in my corner everyday making me reach my goals. She is my foundation and the key that can make me open any door, and the voice I must hear at least 6 times a week. LOL Ya I'm a lil brat, but what can u expect from a D.I.V.A. like me ???
She is the only one that I have really ever had, she used to work 3 jobs just so she could raise me and my brother in the suburbs and now my brother and I both graduate days apart from college in June. People may hate but let me see the fruit your producing. She is a remarkable woman and I only hope that I can posses her qualities 1 day. I know tomorrow is never promised today so therefore mommy knows how much I love her and if ya all didn't know, well now you know. She is the reason behind all my blood, sweat, & tears she is the one I sacrifice so much for. So that one day I can "Buy My Mama A House" and pay her bills so she may never have to worry about anything again. I mean dang that's the least I can do for making her raise a silver dollar like me..LOL She is a true definition of a real woman she's never needed to depend on a man for nothing. I think the world is in lack of real female power and true role models. To that ladies I call for a motion in raising any female you know with morals and respect for themselves!!! She was never a drinker or a smoker and never really clubbed, she just works takes care of bills and most of all her kids. I lost a best friend to murder and the thing that gets me the most is I never got 2 say goodbye or hear her voice 1 last time. People we take for granted the things/people we think we will always have tomorrow and 4 get 2 show them U Love Them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the biggest heart in the world due to my mom, she keeps us grounded and focused. She is why I made it this far, she was my voice telling me 2 keep it moving life is short and you only live once!!! Make it full of love and do everything u want 2 do but do it full of luv. P.S. Remember if someone can't upgrade you, YOU don't need them because they will only take you down to there level. Surround ur self with positive, uplifting people, and you'll see your true potential.
Happy Mom's Day!!!!! Luv U Mommy........ MWAH!!!!!

THE INFLUENCE OF HIP-HOP, IS IT ALL NEGATIVE?

Society’s meaning of Hip-Hop
“ I got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one”. (Black Album 2003) What did he say? Is what might be your first reaction. But as you listen to “99 problems” raped by Jay Z you hear that he is not talking about a female or anything that has to do with females period.
For years society’s put a label on Hip-Hop as gangster or foul language music, that it’s had some kind of negative influence on the children of today or generation Y. Well today I’m going to take you inside the hip-hop influence from a generation y, female mind. I’m going to talk to you about the part that the media tends to over look… The generations that live Hip-Hop.
First of all to the folks that still think hip-hop is only music, understand it is a culture, an evolution something that we live breathe and wear. This is something that will never go away or fade and the faster you understand that , the quicker you can communicate a little better to the youth of today. Most of the youth of today are very created and talented , but are not being heard the way they need. Hip-Hop is that release where we can hear, listen, breathe, touch, and indulge our senses in a song. That’s just a song imagine the album and videos? Yes there is power in the words they say but there is also power in the Disney movies your kids watch. They make believe in Never land and show toys talking, how dangerous is that? At least hip-hop is truthful.
Threw the experiences the artist raps about and let you hear, not only do you become intrigued but its like a rush.
First you hear the beat which can come from the hottest producers at that time and to give you a sample of what artist spend for beats well Timbaland gets $500,000 a beat. Now when a producer sells his beats that’s up front cash because usually they get no royalties. Usually producers are doing more then one song on the album so on one artist producers get more then a million dollars. Now get the definition of bling bling and holla back. True hip-hop is a lot of slang words made into music, but when Jesus needed to speak to people who didn’t speak the same language he used tongues. Now are you starting to get a little curious?

No Nine to Five
Well let’s begin to talk about the blood, sweat, and tears that go into this culture. To be a part of those rarely publicized behind the scenes moments of the no sleep, hardworking, fast paced, money making, high spending, fun loving thrill seeking lifestyle that most popular rappers experience everyday has always been a subject of great interest to all hip hop fans of rap music. Most people fail to understand and appreciate the fact that in order to reach the top, most of our favorite hip hop rappers has had to struggle, take risks and make sacrifices in order to make their dreams of being in the hip hop / rap music industry a reality. (Roc Cayard, Certified DVD: Party, Sex, Drugs & Crime 2006). Even Tupac raps about how he never wanted the fame just the fortune, Ludacris also raps “Hip-Hop you really want to be a part of it?” (Release Therapy, 2006)
Very powerful question when you consider the sacrifice these artist give up to work a nine to five just like you. They may not sit behind a desk, or kick a football for a pro team but these artist in this culture paint a vocal picture and it’s about real things everyday life for a urban kid growing up these days. I guess when the media decides to turn its cameras on something that really matter you’d see all the money these artist poor back in the community’s.

For The Cause
LL Cool J an artist of Def Jam, which is a major record label has founded a summer camp for underprivileged kids. Each summer he sends a bunch of kids to Camp Cool J to have fun and experience what they normally can’t in everyday life. P Diddy a CEO of his own record label, reaches out to New York’s poor by feeding them for the holidays and of course it’s called Daddy’s House. Russell Simmons the god father of Hip Hop has a year long summit to educate the youth or anyone who goes, be prepared to get an earful and some insight about the industry. This summit is usually 3 days long and is ended by a concert with Def Jam artist. Shawn Carter aka “Jay Z” also gives back to kids perusing a degree in college. It’s called Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund and gives 20 students a chance to win a scholarship between $1,000-$10,000. Believe me when I say hip hop is a place that regular everyday people escape to each and every day. Hip hop is not just music, it’s not something you just decide to wear. Hip hop is a culture a way of living it’s something you’re a part of, the breath of air you take with out thought. So when you speak of hip hop, realize it’s a movement of young active souls, that have much to say about the world of today.
It’s not negative when you take a step back and understand that hip hop is not just music or lyrics from an artist. A painting from Michelangelo is priceless with no words, well hip hop is the void of that. It’s today’s technologies used to express what our generation is living threw in essence it’s like a walking time capsule.
We are leaving our mark in color, on CD’s and in the cars.

Once A Fad, Is Now Culture
In conclusion the way people speak or think about Hip-Hop is not reality, It’s all stereotype of what they hear and see. If a person is not “in” usually they just wont get the meaning of Hip-Hop. You don’t understand how hard it is to break into the industry and maintain your sanity or better yet keep making hit after hit. The hard work that goes with making an album, the hours in the studio making the songs that get played, the tours you travel to perform on stage for a couple hours and then go on to the next city. The endless amount of time alone or without family, the countless meet and greets with complete strangers that are so called fans. All this to make the dreams of becoming somebody reality…
If you ask me it just shows me that Hip-Hop is one of the hardest working cultures in society. It shows you that with persistence, determination, and hard work you can be anything you want. Frankly what’s so negative about that?

A Tribute 2 A Fallen Angel!!!!

This goes 2 one of the most missed graceful ladies of all times my heart is 4ever damaged because the world lost a true woman. Such a positive role model taken so soon, for the kid's of 2day have no idea what they lost. R.I.P. beautiful lady till we meet again in a heavenly kingdom.

Halloween at Universal Studio's

Let me take you to the Universal Studios on Halloween.... As the statues moved and the clowns came out, nothing was unexpected this night. The planes crashed somewhere on elem street and of course Freddie was waiting for us. This was one scary night and for all the haunted house's and rides the price for the ticket was worth it. I mean all the enjoyment I got at one park was what I would spend had I gone to 4 different haunted house's, and to me that was worth the price and then some. Please go do this on one of your Halloween's you wont regret it.

The Getty Experience

This is what they call the garden it is very beautiful and exquisite, it has a water fall that goes all the way from the Tran to the garden. The scenery is so photogenic that every where is the best place for a photo.
Imagine this bed to entertain your guest on ladies. Yes the lady's would tell there friends to come over for tea as she would be propped up in this bed and host. That's the life.
Love, Garden's & Beds what more can u really ask 4?????

Camp Couture!!!!

Every summer Brook's College hosted it's annual Camp Couture for young girls and boys to do something productive for the summer break. These girls and boys were so creative that it's a shame there's not more people like Robyn, who try to get these kid's to see there potential. Unfortunately after that camp is when they announced the closer of Brooks College. No more students are enrolled and it will be put as dorms for Cal State Long Beach.... imagine being told you were the last class to enroll in what is the start to the rest of your life. To all those kids please don't give up, you are very talented.

Emerge Fashion Show!!!!!

I was part of the production team for Brook's College Emerge Fashion Show and let me tell you it was a great experience to be apart of. I was leader of the Jaguar Lounge and let me tell you the new Jag's look so different then the S type or anything else you have been used to.
As far as the styles they were very designer and classy. The church was filled with lots of class. This was truly an event that should have not been missed, and for those of you who did well here is a lil of what you missed.

Justine Timberlake In Phx, AZ!!!!!!!!!

This concert was truly unforgettable and off the chain. JT is one to be hooked on and boy oh boy no more, he was all grown and sexy for us lady's!!!! WOW he delivered a performance that was amazing I mean what can't this man do???? The whole night I was allowed to act and be a fan, he brought the little girl out in me when instead of an intermission he brought the 1 the only Timmy out!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!
Viewers I have gone to a lot of concerts to see this man and the one I least expected was the 1 this man was at. Timmy is truly beyond his time and for 12 years I have been so inspired to be out of this world just like him and his whole crew. He is someone who has showed me how the tempo should sound!!!! Great concert JT & Timmy off the charts for one of the best of all times.

RocaWear Fashion Show!!!!!!

My 1st Show in Denver, CO.........
Addictive CEO Loretta and Me at our first show together enjoying our company. Sealed With A Kiss was definitely delivered with lots of kisses.
We had the best of both worlds but not the classy, sexy, grown crowd that we had anticipated.
Addictive delivered the hot models and
I delivered the fresh new gear and let me tell you, even I was impressed.
This was a show that was truly off the wall. Now people FYI if you decide to do an event make sure no other promoter is booked the same night. From jump the other promoter was trying to wreck stuff from the jump, and taking credit for a show that was not hers. Me being me let her think she was getting her way till I packed up my clothes and models and left..... Ya I'm not one 2 piss off!!!!!!!!
Even above us never getting a cat walk or starting over 2 hours late we are some business bitches and with a team like mine we were ready to bring the storm. Ericka as my P.R., Loretta with Addictive and Denise as my manager we came in took care of business and best believe DC10 will know who they lost out on.
Business has no friends and I like loyalty, trust, honesty, wealth and respect when I deal with people therefore it only takes me once to learn my lesson.
So needless to say we our the harshest critic of ourselves, everyone all said it was good and enjoyable. They are waiting for the next 1, and to that I say wait till I find a classier location.

Heart Of The City Concert

What can I say viewers he did it again.... Instead of Hova we should call him the energizer bunny, he keeps going & going & going............... When will he stop oh no1 and I mean no1 knows. To say the least it was off the chain, and due to the full parking lots, and lack of organization from the Hollywood Bowl I made it for Jay-Z only. Was I mad heck yes but when I got to my seat and saw jigga on stage it was all worth it. Jay-Z came so hard and made me be so thankful that I got to see the jigga it was all worth it. Not only did he perform to his fullest but brought Mary back out twice and Bleek was a delight-full treat too.
I saw him speak his music for 2 hours and let me say wow maybe one day like in 10yrs I can see our next president or world leader. He is such a great leader he does not get enough credit that he deserves. People don't understand how influential & intelligent this man really is and they hate to admit he is one h-e-l-l-o of a business man!!!! Viewer's I might have only seen Jay-Z perform for 2 hours but it was we'll worth all the trouble, maybe next time I can see Mary for her performance!!!!!!!!

Hollywood Shop Til' You Drop Fashion Show!!!!!!!

This show was more like a Farmers Market/Fashion Show/Raffle Give Away rather then a fashion show. Now no doubt the turn out was nice and the vibe was fun rather then snotty, this felt more like a fung shui disaster. The lay out was laying on top of each other and the models had to get ready in the only restroom of the club... Plus you didn't know who's items belonged to what designer or prices for the items. Plus there was photographers up the yin yang... you would of thought this was all A-List designers!!!??? Above all that the staff was friendly and full of smiles, eagar to help you out. The mood was social and groovy yet full of restless waiting for the show to continue with the fashions. The music was hot and fresh like the DJ Q himself and enjoyed by everyone in attendance. He played some hip mixes with some old beats it was real refreshing and new. I mean the only thing that was literally missing was the dance floor to shake your tail feather and bust a move. The music was that good, ladies. A few pictures of the models and fashions that this show had to offer, which were really designs that belonged on famous models and in a high profile show... Buyers you really need to keep your eye on these designs and how they blossom. The prices are reasonable and they look close to A status. Take a look, and comment on some of the styles. Also ladies they were all for plus sizes they didn't just make the single digits, yes finally our kind of designers. LOL!! To the right Kami Shade'dress and to the left Shop Translated Plus Size dress. It was not worth the parking ticket I got but I did enjoy myself.
